The School is home to internationally known groups that span the various research disciplines our staff are engaged in, and we aim to provide the excellent support and work environment for research to flourish.
There are brand new postgraduate work and social areas, and also recently refurbished research laboratories, which contain state-of-the-art equipment and instrumentation purchased with over £2 million pounds of government Science Research Infrastructure Funds (SRIF).
The two research centres that sit within the School are the Biomedical Science Research Centre and the Ecosystems and Environment Research Centre.
The active promotion of research within the school is reflected in excellence in teaching, and successful links with business in the form of academic enterprise activity.
